I WANT TO BE LIKE YOU...
As English forms such a fundamental part of our learning at Entreolivos, one of the extracurricular activities that we are offering is English Playhouse which is run by our native teacher Severine. Each month the children take part in a different activity, and this month has been the turn of "sing and dance". The children have learnt the chorus of two different songs and have taken part in lots of other activities related to them. Here is a video clip of some of the children.
Do you know which story it is from?

MAGIC DRAGON PROJECT

At Entreolivos School 50% of our activities are carried out in English. Magic Dragon is a project which Fomento has developed to further the children's communicative language skills. It is complimented by our English Corners, a weekly conversation class with a native teacher.

MAGIC GOES HOME

My name is Magic. I am so happy to be able to spend the weekend with you and your family!
I love to travel and see new places. I would like to take some photographs of our fun times to display them later in the classroom.

Who will take home magic in his little green bag next week?

BUBBLES GO UP AND DOWN...CAN YOU CATCH ONE?

One of the objectives of unit 2 in year 1 is to identify the concept of up and down. To practise and play with these ideas we went outside to the playground and tried to catch bubbles as they floated up and down.

CAN YOU TWIT-TWOO LIKE OWLS DO?

Yesterday the children of year 3 took part in an owl competition in which they had to recite one of the chants from this month´s unit. We have been practising for weeks and all the classes did very well indeed. But we had to choose a winner. Congratulations class 3C. We loved your actions!

This is the chant:

There is an owl
 with a pointed nose
with two pointed ears
and claws for his toes.
He lives high in a tree.
When he looks at you
he flaps his wings
and says ooh ooh ooh ooh

WHAT DO WE WEAR IN AUTUMN?

Year two have been learning lots of different clothes with teacher Severine in the English corner. We have been thinking about what you should wear in each season, and here you can see a person dressed for the winter.
Don´t forget your wooly hat!

RIDDLE, RIDDLE 1,2,3

At Entreolivos we use riddles as part of the Magic dragon project to help foment and practise new vocabulary and structures that we learn with each unit. We wanted to show you a video of how fun these are. Take a look!

CAN YOU DO THE HOOLA-HOOP?

The students in year one have been working really hard learning lots of different colours in the first few months of school and they want to show you one of the fun ways they practise. In this video you can see red, blue, yellow and green.

DO YOU RECOGNISE OUR SURPRISE GUESTS?

Not only did we read and play with our teachers, but we also had lots of mummies and daddies come to tell us stories this week. They were all so imaginative. Thank you parents of Entreolivos.

ONCE UPON A TIME...
Look at us listening to lots of different typical British stories this week! There was The cat in the hat, the Tiger who came to tea and Where´s spot. After the stories we painted our faces as cats, lions and dogs. We had so much fun!
