SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST!

Today is the last day of the English Week 2016 and we wanted to show you a summary of some of the amazing things we have been doing. Apart from seeing Minnie and Mickey and following Magic Dragon´s footprints, we´ve also been playing lots of traditional British playground games which has been so much fun. Today we had another special guest who came to read us a story in English about a Gruffalo. What a treat!

A special thank you to all the parents who came to visit us in our classrooms this week. The children loved showing off everything they know.

DID YOU SEE US IN OUR CLASSROOMS?

Yesterday was the first day of our exciting English week. Aside from our special visit from our surprise guests, we also opened our classrooms to Mummies and Daddies so that they could come and see all the fun that we have at school. We wanted to show you some photos from the event yesterday, and remind parents from Year 2B, 3A, 3B, 3C and 3D that they can come and see us this afternoon at 4 o´clock

CHOO CHOO CHOCOLATE TRAIN

In unit 6 the children in year 1 have been learning about different types of transport. As we come to the end of the second semester we thought it would be fun to make a train out of a selection of yummy ingredients.

Take a look at all the fun we had!

There wasn´t a lot of train left after we had eaten it!

WHAT DID SIMON SAY?

In English we learn many many things, and even still we have time to play! This is just a short scene for you to see how we play and how the teachers make use of these games to help us learn words and phrases from each unit.

IT IS ENGLISH WEEK AGAIN!

As you may know from previous experience, every year at Entreolivos we celebrate an English week in which we focus a whole week to special events in English and about the culture of an English-speaking country or countries. We cannot give too much away yet, but we can tell you that it will take place from the 29th to the 31st of March, and that we will be inviting parents to come into our classrooms to see how well we communicate in English.

WE HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

LOOKING AT LONDON IN THE ENGLISH CORNERS

As part of this month´s unit, the children in Year 3 have been talking about London. Teacher Severine, whose family live very near to London, wanted to find out how much the children knew about one of her favourite cities, so she asked the students in the English Corner to tell her about some famous monuments.

TYPES OF COMMUNICATION

In year two we are working with different types of communication, thinking also about whether they are oral or written. We have been using different recycled materials to make some of these things ourselves.

Take a look at what we came up with:

Telephone game!!
I am famous!!
A letter for us.

We love reading in English.

A computer (We didn´t make this one)

LISTEN AND LOOK HOW WE CAN TELL STORIES IN ENGLISH

With every new unit that we study in English we always have a new story. The last unit was about animals and we learnt a really fun story about a hippo who wants to play with different animals in the jungle.
We managed to learn the whole story by heart!
